Easy Peasy Scones

  • 3 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 50g margarine or butter
  • 1 1/4 cups Original Almond Breeze almond milk


  1. Preheat oven to 230 degrees Celsius. Sift flour, sugar and salt into a large bowl. Add the margarine and use fingers to rub into flour mix until it resembles fine bread crumbs
  2. Make a well in the flour mixture and pour in the milk. Use a butter knife to gently combine until a sticky dough forms
  3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, gently knead until dough comes together. Use fingers to press into a disc, roughly 2cm thick
  4. Dust an oven tray with flour
  5. Using a round pastry cutter (dipped in flour) cut out scones. Arrange scone on tray and gently brush each with Original Almond Breeze to glaze
  6. Bake scones for 10-12 minutes or until golden
  7. Put scones on a clean tea towel and cover with a second tea towel to cool
